Jason Mraz, Passenger and Noah & the Whale hits covered for heartwarming Tesco home-cooking spots
As the saying goes, music is food for the soul, and we’re inclined to agree. But let’s not forget about food itself! Nothing hits the spot quite like a home cooked meal made by a loved one, so it stands to reason that combining these things makes for a double dose of fulfilment.
Three new campaign films from the Eastern Europe division of supermarket giant Tesco pay testament to the special combination of comfort sounds and comfort food, and are filled wholesome nourishment of every kind.
Our work on these three films produced cover versions of some very well-loved pop songs. UK singer-songwriter Passenger‘s worldwide #1 hit of 2012 “Let Her Go” is reworked here for scenes of multiple generations of a family gathering to enjoy a roast dinner, while Jason Mraz‘s breakthrough debut song “I’m Yours,” soundtracks a tender moment between a mother and daughter. Lastly, indie rock darlings Noah and the Whale accompany a family and football-centric sunny barbecue scene with this cover version of “5 Years Time.”
