Samsung’s immaculate ice

 
Dose of the winter blues? If you can’t leave the freeze, learn to appreciate it: our first South Korean spot is a gleaming reminder of just how gorgeous cold can be. To demonstrate the considerable chops of their X1 camera, Samsung produced a truly breathtaking timelapse. Dial up the definition and luxuriate in the stony shores and surreal icescapes of Iceland, glittering under the ethereal sweep of the Northern Lights.
 
The dazzling visuals needed an equally crystalline accompaniment: we sourced a track from Liverpool-based Norwegian composer Jogeir Daae Mæland. The appropriately titled ‘Frozen Moments’ builds fresh instrumentation and an other-worldly vocal to a sweeping whole imbued with a celestial sense of wonder.
