The new black comedy ‘Holy Shit!’ is set to hit the Cannes Film Festival this year, and it’s already generating a lot of buzz. After winning the Audience Award at its world premiere at the Hard:Line Film Festival this year, the film was also shown at Night Visions Film Festival and Fantaspoa, receiving an honorable mention.

‘Holy Shit!’ will have its market premiere in Cannes on May 19.

The film stars Thomas Niehaus as Frank, an architect who wakes up in a locked portable toilet on a construction site where a detonation is being prepared. With no way out and the clock ticking, Frank must use his wit and ingenuity to escape before he’s blown up. The film also stars Gedeon Burkhard as the corrupt Mayor Horst, who has designs on Frank’s pregnant girlfriend Marie (Olga von Luckwald).

We licensed cult band Münchener Freiheit for this feature film. Their song “Ohne Dich” builds an interesting counterpart to the film’s dark humor.

‘Holy Shit!’ is a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat black comedy that will keep you guessing until the very end. If you’re looking for a film that’s both entertaining and thought-provoking, be sure to check it out !
