Hard-hitting moves and sounds with Nike and choreographer Koharu Sugawara

Nike Japan’s collaboration with esteemed hip hop choreographer and dancer Koharu Sugawara – in celebration of the brand’s monochrome Air Force 1 Collection – recently produced two impactful short films which feature a unique soundtrack provided by Tracks & Fields.

Nike Presents: FORCE Move yourself features Sugawara rehearsing her powerful moves throughout the course of an entire day – in a dance studio, a cafe, a bathtub – as anticipation builds towards the final frames, which shows her arriving on a sound stage to perform the final routine.

The follow-up film Nike Presents: “FORCE” DANCE MOVIE performed by KOHARU SUGAWARA picks up where the first one leaves off, and is a dedicated one-take shot of the perfected “FORCE” dance where Sugawara literally takes centre stage.

The gritty black-and-white aesthetics of both films are unified and enhanced by a bespoke Track & Fields composition. The edgy electronic arrangement captures the movement and raw spirit perfectly, with energetic handclaps and a euphoric finish. We hope you enjoy the results of this collaboration, below!
