Tracks & Fields 2021 review is reaching episode 07, focusing on awarded work of ours.

It is always an honor to see that the blood and sweat put in projects pays off by recognition in the creative world. We are humbled by these awards, and hopeful that new projects will be even better.

The first project is the feature film “Compartment No. 6” directed by Juho Kuosmanen. It’s about 2 strangers sharing a train compartment that changes their view on lifes. Apart from currently running for ‘Best Non-English Language Motion Picture’ at Golden Globe Awards it won

  • Grand Prix at Cannes Film Festival
  • Best international prize at Jerusalem Film Festival
  • Golden Camera 300 at ICFF
  • International Jury Award at São Paulo International Film Festival

The second project we selected is for Unicef. Their campaign “More than a mark” broaching the issue of violence against children, needed a careful music selection to emphasize this sensitive topic. We found it in a classical piece ‘Une barque sur l’ocean’ by Marice Ravel.

The campaign was awarded at several festivals, among them:

  • Graphite Pencil at D&AD
  • Silver and Bronze at ADC
  • Silver at CLIO Awards
  • Bronze at Ciclope

The last selected project is a campaign by Zalando. With “We will hug again” they sent a message of hope in social distancing times during the pandemic. The song we licensed for this is ‘Godspeed’ by Frank Ocean featuring Gospel singer Kim Burrell, a piece about a meaningful person in Ocean’s life growing up. The reduced instrumentation paired with the emotional lyrics make it an ideal companion for the imagery. The project was recognized e.g. with

  • Wood Pencil at D&AD
  • Bronze at ADC
