T&F partners with Adfest 2018: Vinyl Island, festival film trailer, and a workshop

Adfest 2018 kicks off today in Pattaya, Thailand!

We’re honoured to be Adfest’s official music partner this year, and our collaboration with the esteemed annual APAC gathering can be experienced in three key ways: our Vinyl Island record store initiative, our composition work for the festival’s brand film, and facilitating a workshop for festival delegated as part of Adfest’s Craft program.

Below is a complete rundown on where and when you will find Tracks & Fields at Adfest over the coming four days.

Visit us on Vinyl Island

For Adfest 2018 we’re going back to our roots and opening a pop-up vinyl record store – Vinyl Island.

Although located in beautiful Pattaya, Vinyl Island is all about our hometown and will be stocked with tasty tunes from 20 of Berlin’s finest electronic music labels, like Boys Noize, Stil Vor Talent, Dystopian, Innervisions, Get Physical, Monkeytown, BPitch Control to name a few.

Vinyl Island has a charitable twist: rather than just selling the records to Adfest’s attendees, we will offer them in exchange for a voluntary donation to the local charity organisation Save The Children Thailand. In addition to to picking up some new tunes for a good cause, all records come packed in a limited custom Tracks & Fields tote bag, created by Merch And Destroy.

Please enjoy our Vinyl Island teaser playlist below, which features a small selection of the tracks that can be found in our record store. The complete list of music and photos from the pop-up shop will be revealed after the festival!

Hear our production music in Adfest’s brand film and awards trailers

Both the delegates attending Adfest 2018 and our online community alike can experience our music production commissions for this year’s festival partnership.

Adfest recently debuted their 2018 festival brand film (above) which introduces this year’s theme – TRANSFORM – and features contemporary colourful animation by MPC Shanghai. Our contemporary electronic music score accompanies the animation, with a mix of abstract symphonics and glitchy sound design.

Festival attendees will be able to hear further T&F production work during the awards ceremonies on the evenings of March 23 & 24, as we composed the sound design for these as well.

Attend our Workshop

As we previously announced, we are hosting a workshop Thursday March 22nd, called ‘How To Make Music Decisions in Advertising.’

Participants will examine an interactive case study of an award-winning T&F project, in order gaining exclusive insight into the music supervision process.

We look forward to seeing you in Pattaya!
