The young detectives, Rico and Oskar, are back with their latest family comedy ‘Rico, Oskar und der Diehstahlstein’. Just released in cinemas across Germany today, the film features music supervision from Tracks & Fields.

The film marks the third and final instalment of the Rico and Oskar trilogy movies based on the best-selling book series by German children’s author Andreas Steinhöfel. The film trilogy, also known worldwide as ‘The Pasta Detectives’, follows the adventures of two child detectives, Rico and Oskar (Anton Petzold and Juri Winkler), and their lives in Berlin.

In ‘Rico, Oskar und der Diebstahlstein’, directed by Neele Leana Vollmar, the boys find themselves the unlucky victims of a theft, having had their recently inherited stone collection stolen. It’s now up to the child detectives to try and apprehend the thief.

The film is the second in the trilogy of which Tracks & Fields have licensed music for, having previously worked on the music for the second film, ‘Rico, Oskar und das Herzgebreche’. The second film has also been nominated for this year’s prestigious Deutscher Filmpreis.

Tracks & Fields licensed music from several artists for ‘Rico, Oskar und der Diebstahlstein’, including the songs ‘Are You In Fashion’ by French rock band Bye Bye Blondie, ‘Only With You’ by Mirage, and the blues tracks ‘You Make Me Feel So Good’ by Clarence Nelson and ‘Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know’ by Tommy Raye Tucker.

Tracks & Fields also produced the official single of the film, the track ‘Wir Wollen Nicht Viel, Wir Wollen Alles’ by German-band Roger & Schu. The music video, which Tracks & Fields also co-ordinated the production of, can be seen here.
