Member spotlight – Lemâitre

Lemâitre- currently featured in the new Orange commercial and called “the bright new hopes of Scandinavian electro” are a young Norwegian duo with the electronic universe at their feet.

Their stunning new EP ‘Relativity 3’ has just been released in March and marks the start of what promises to be a remarkable year for the dynamic pair.

Since Ketil and Ulrik started Lemâitre in 2010, they are creating an eclectic mix of dreamy electro-pop with constantly evolving sonic layers and soundscapes, disco beats and catchy melodies, taking inspiration from an assimilation of influences ranging from Daft Punk, Röyksopp, Justice, Ratatat, Phoenix and Noisia.

After the release of their latest EP, the duo is now poised for an international breakthrough- and it’s definitely just a matter of time before those who have not heard of Lemâitre constitute a small minority.

With a promising year ahead of them and exciting tours on the horizon, Lemaitre are ready to kick-start 2013 with a ‘big bang’!
