Member Spotlight: Who’s Molly?
This week we are shining a member spotlight on Swansea rock band Who’s Molly? whose track ‘Welcome To The Good Life’ was the soundtrack to one of our recent placements for Mercedes China.
“The starting point when we write is often a great title and we came up with ‘Welcome to the Good Life'” said singer and guitarist Karl Morgan. “We really liked the sound of it and then how it sang well. But we didn’t just want to write a song about the trappings of success and money, so we twisted it. The verses are about the downside of fame and how it’s a one way journey that you can never come back from. It questions the price of fame and what you have to give up for success.”
Citing classic rock influences like the Rolling Stones and David Bowie alongside more recent heavy hitters such as Imagine Dragons, Stereophonics and Noel Gallagher, their knack for an anthemic chorus proudly continues that lineage.
