Marteria releases full length film to accompany new album with music synced by T&F

Marteria requires no introduction. The 34 year old Platinum selling German is one of the biggest, highest selling rappers in Germany. Not content with the resounding success of his two most recent records ‘Zum Glück in die Zukunft’ and ‘Zum Glück in die Zukunft 2’, Marteria planned something even bigger for his most recent record ‘Roswell’. Going beyond the regular album format, he has created an entire feature film to support the release of the album. A film that we at Tracks & Fields had the pleasure of supervising the music.

The hour-long feature ‘Antimarteria’ is a bizarre trip that verges on the surreal. It was shot on location over the course of 6 weeks in Cape Town, South Africa. For this particular project we were responsible for sourcing and sync-licensing the auxiliary music. These tracks included a country music ballad, dark soundscapes and even gregorian chanting. The songs were used to colour the feel of the film and add to its twisted, fairytale-like aesthetic.
