Four Questions For…. Esther Little

At Tracks & Fields we like to showcase the talent and inspiration of the artists behind our sync licenses, through their own words. For this edition of ‘Four Questions for’ we interviewed Seattle-based artist Esther Little.

Singer songwriter Esther Little makes sweet indie pop, with soft and dreamy melodies. Tracks & Fields recently sync licensed her song ‘There You Are’ for the Polish mobile phone network Plus’ advert.

To find out more about Esther and her experience of being sync licensed, we spoke to the artist via email.

How long have you been making music?

I’ve been making mix tapes and other shit since I was about 7 years old. I made my first mix tape when I as 8… And my first real album 3 years ago, at 26.. And what a journey it has been! I am embarking on a new project shortly.

How would you describe your personal sound?

I would describe myself as someone who responds to real instruments, relatable vibes, and a true sound. I love an authentic amount of imperfections being included in any mix. Indie/pop is the most generic way to describe the vibes.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Since I was a child there had been some drive to console others with sound. Some people might like to have pen pals, or messenger buddies, I tend to write songs to express appreciation, pain or attraction.

How did you hear about Tracks & Fields and how long have you been a member?

I’ve been a member for a few years, and I heard about you through the all powerful googles. Thanks for helping me getting my tunes out!
