‘Bristle with the confrontational diffidence of The Fall, the jumpstart guitars of Gang Of Four and the future-think aesthetic of video director Saam Farahmand.” NME, 10th February 2010
“Wild Palms have taken the well-worn DNA of post-punk and subverted in their own apocalyptic image.”  Artrocker, Single Of The Month, January 2009
“A brilliantly uneasy listening experience.” The Sun, 20th November 2009

Forward-thinkers Wild Palms, newly signed to OLI, continue to strike while the iron is hot, coming around with the release of their 2nd single ‘Deep Dive’, backed with an intriguing take on Bjork’s ‘Human Behaviour’.

The new single is the first fruit from studio sessions with Gareth Jones (Grizzly Bear, Clinic, Interpol, Wire, Depeche Mode) with whom the band are about to start work on their debut album, slated for a January release.

Speaking to NME at the start of February, singer Lou Hill signalled the shape of things to come, "The stuff we are writing now is a complete departure from anything scratchy or angular - it's warm and it's expansive.” Saluting Can, New FADs, Beefheart, ACR, Sonic Youth, TV On The Radio, Radiohead, MBV, Liquid Liquid, New Order & Talking Heads, Wild Palms continue an ethos that runs through from Neu! to Factory to Flowered Up, carrying with them a rough-edged charm that in no small part comes from roguishly charismatic 23 year old front man and garage MC, Lou Hill.
