BCore Disc was born in 1990 to fill the gap that existed in Spain concerning punk and hardcore music. Being in the early days a tiny one-man-label, it is nowadays one of the most influential and active labels in Spanish and European scenes. In the beginning, BCore released a small number of records (vinyl LPs and 7-inches, cassettes, later CDs) and did some extra activities, like booking shows for foreign bands, focusing on all kinds of underground cultural acts from radios and fanzines, printing merchandise, etc.
Throughtout the years BCore has become a totally autonomous label, gathering in a single brand all activities that an artist needs: we have our own publishing, our own distribution in physical shops, our own mailorder service/online shop, PR department, international department, and our own management/booking department, in the classical DIY style though gone far beyond the underground borders. BCore has maintained that spirit and has been able to be successful in the tough music industry. Also music genres have been widely open to all kinds of indie rock, from acoustic pop to indietronica and still old school hardcore and punk. More than 180 references released prove that everything is possible with effort and passion, even coming from an underground network. When artists really have things to say, a small label can become a well-established and still commited entity.
